Register Now: Hands-On ICS/SCADA Security Seminar – October 12th

On Thursday, October 12th Stratejm (www.stratejm.com) in partnership with Cyberbit (www.cyberbit.com) are hosting a ½ day seminar will demonstrate various ICS/SCADA attacks typical to the energy sector. It will enable security professionals in critical infrastructure organizations to experience the attack as well as the detection and forensics process, hands-on.

Event Summary

  1. Improve their understanding of the nature of ICS/SCADA attacks by experiencing them hands-on
  2. Improve their ability to detect and response to ICS/SCADA attacks by practicing detection and forensics using ICS/SCADA monitoring and analysis tools

Some of the ICS/SCADA scenarios and topics that will be demonstrated:

  1. Detecting and analyzing port scanning
  2. Reconnaissance – how attackers identify vulnerable network components to execute IT to OT attacks
  3. DoS – detecting and mitigating a DoS attack in OT networks
  4. WannaCry – how the WannaCry ransomware attack can be executed in OT networks
  5. OT protocol vulnerabilities

Agenda:

  • 13:00 – lunch and briefing
  • 14:30 – start hands-on training
  • 16:30 – end hands-on training, debrief
  • 17:30 – end of event

Trainee Profile:

  • Potential positions: CISOs, IT manager, OT managers, analysts, any OT security positions
  • Prerequisites –
    • Basic understanding of Linux
    • Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and controllers (PLC, RTU)
    • Nice to have – knowledge of ICS/SCADA protocols
  • Non-Tech executives can stay for lunch and briefing
